Over the past twelve months Lions International members within the British isles have served over 500,000 hours volunteering and serving our local communities. Serving over 73,000 people in that time and raising over £9 million, all of which goes to support good causes.

Since Melton Mowbray Lions (CIO) were formed in 1974 we have made a difference within our community and with your help we could do more. Serving the community with projects such as:

Supporting Melton Mencap doing various maintenance projects:

Fitting CCTV & Camera doorbells supplied by Melton Borough Council for Senior Citizens.

Friendship Bench

Support for Melton Mowbray Indoor Bowls Club – sponsor bench’s

Recycling glasses

Manning Melton Mowbray Lions Community Hub – providing tourist information – what’s on in Melton plus much more.

Providing Santa’s Grotto

Organising & running fundraising projects such as: 

• Fashion Show
• Quiz Night
• Pig Race
• It’ A Knockout
• Plant Sales

Provide Diabetes and prostate cancer testing

Support the annual Remembrance Parade and the Battle Britain Parade

Support by volunteering at various community events such as the 40’ Weekend, Halloween night and many others.
